What are the differences between AiS series and AiC seires?
The stepper motor system consists of a motor, driver and controller.
For motor operation, the motor, driver and controller are essential components.
AiS series consist of a motor and diver.
Whereas AiC series consist of a motor and controller intergrated driver.
Therefore, unlike AiS, AiC does not require a separate motion controller.
(The AiS series requires a separate motion controller that can output high-speed pulses.)
※ In the current Autoincs line-up, AiC supports ModbusRTU[AiC(A)], CC-Link[AiC-CL] and EtherCAT[AiC(A)-EC].

Can I no longer use DAQMaster software after demo version period ends?
You can use DAQMaster software even after the demo version period ends.
(You can still connect Autonics communication prodcuts and use functions such as monitoring, parameter setting and data logging.)
Demo refers to the availablility of DAQMaster PRO version features.
Please refer to the DAQMaster manual for detailed function of the DAQMaster PRO version.

What is the control output run/stop function in temperature controller?
Control output RUN/STOP is function that forcibly limits control output for maintenance purpose.
There is a way to turn OFF the temperature controller to prevent the heater and cooler from operating.
However, it is inefficient to turn OFF the temperature controller every signle time.
Using the RUN/STOP function, only the control output can be turned OFF while the temperature controller power is turned ON.

Same 4-20mA, but what's the difference between control output and transmission output?
Contol output(Main output) is for controlling the heater and cooler.
Therefore, the control output 4-20mA is connected to the power controller. (ex. SPC1, SPR1/3, SPRM)
Transmission output(Option output) is for transmitting measured values to another place.
(ex. Another temperature controller, Panel meter, PLC anlaog input module)
As shown in the picture below, please keep in mind that these outputs have different purposes.

Unlike the manual, some of the TK series parameters are not confirmed.
In the TK series, some parameters are hidden.
To check all parameters, set the [User level] of parameter group 5 to [HIGH].

How do I execute Auto-tuning?(TK series)

What is function of Auto-tuning in a tempearture controller?
The control methods of temperature controllers include ON/OFF control and PID control.
To use the PID control method instead of ON/OFF control, appropriate PID contants adjusted for the operating envrionment are necessary.
Since the process of calculating PID constant is quite complex, Auto-tuning simplifies this process.
# How does Auto-tuning work?
When Auto-tuning is performed, the temperature controller perfoms temperature control twice based on the Set value(SV).
Based on the results, the PID constant value is automatically calculated and stored in the parameter.
# Then, how much time does it take to perform Auto-tuning?
Auto-tuning proceeds as shown in the picture below.
So, it may tatke 2~3 times as long to reach the Set value(SV).
That said, it may vary depending on the environment.
# When is it recommended to execute Auto-tuning?
01) Initial setup (However, the temperature sensor and heater must be operating correctly, and the Set value(SV) must be set.
02) When the Set value(SV) is changed to another value. (Because Auto-tuning operates based on Set value.)
03) When there is a change in the surrounding environment. (Heater, Cooler, Installation environment, Ambient tempearture)
04) Other as needed.

How do I display temperature measurement with one decimal place?(TK series)
Depending on the parameter group 3 temperature type settings,
PV is displayed as an Integer or as one decimal place.
□□□.H = Integer expression, □□□.L = One decimal place expression

What does [oPEn] mean on the temperature controller PV dipslay part.
[oPEn] means the tempearture sensor is disconnected.
It can be released by connecting a temperature sensor and setting the Input type[In-t] of parameter group 3 according to the sensor type.
