KC

The KC (Korea Certification) is mandatory certification for the purpose of prevention and reduction of risks regarding safety, health and/or environment. Certain products on distribution and sales in Korean market are required to be certified and marked by KC. There were 13 different certification systems required government organizations before, but in 2009, the government of South Korea decided to introduce the KC Mark and to replace the previous 140 test marks. The KC mark is largely classified as <Safety Certification> and <Electromagnetic Certification>.

KCs

KCS is a system for a party manufacturing or importing machine, apparatus, protective device, or personal protective equipment to be self-declared for conformity system to declare compliance of safety performance of a product under the conformity system to the Minister of Employment and Labor.
Those who intend to manufacture or import products subject to safety certification and those who wish to change the main structure of products subject to safety certification are required to proceed with the certification.

S-Mark

S-Mark is a system to approve use of Safety Certification Symbol (S-mark) if a quality management system of manufacturer for safety and reliability of product and safety design and manufacturing of product complies with the Safety Certification Standards from an assessment. The certification is not a compulsory (mandatory) system, so it is not subject to regulation or disadvantage.

TUV NORD

TÜV Nord Group is a technical service provider with worldwide activities. TÜV Nord is German organizations that work to validate the safety of products and services of all kinds to protect humans, material assets and the environment against hazards. TÜV certification institutions (Nord, SÜD, Rheinland) are located throughout Germany. In Traditional TÜV activities such as electrical, electronic equipment, mobility, energy, the environment, training and health are supplemented by the business fields of natural resources, IT and aerospace. TÜV certification is not legally mandatory and is subject to various EU Directives and German safety regulations.

ROHS

The RoHS is the directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Since 2013, the CE marking indicates the compliance and RoHS 2 declaration of conformity. RoHS restricts the use of the Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr6+, PBBs, PBDEs, BBP, DBP, DEHP, DIBP.
